Abstracted Distractions

TrailGuru. FAIL!

I wanted to post my ride from tonight after work, but since I received a text 3 miles into my ride, trailguru decided not to record anymore. Time to invest in a new gadget that will record my rides without complaining! I am leaning towards a garmin something or other.

UPDATE:

Since I wont be getting a garmin anytime soon I am going to be using another iphone app. I am going to give RunKeeper a whirl and see if it does the trick. I think that a handle bar mount for the iphone will help too, but i am scared to death of that.

By The Numbers

Had a great weekend, getting in a ride with my wife (who is really impressing me on the bike) and then a good ride ride with a friend. I focused more on time rather then the other numbers like speed and average speed. I think this might be the key to getting to my next level. Is it time to lose the bike computer and just look at a watch?

Close To Perfection

Seen on velogogo.com, thanks sox for always bringing the good stuff.

Moots Weld

The Good and The Bad

Sorry I haven’t been posting. I have been in a weird mood lately… I am happy with the progress my riding is taking, but upset with the amount of riding I am doing, so I haven’t felt that their is much to post about. I am also getting really embarrassed with my nutrition (another cookie please). I think it is time to step it up a notch. I have 3 bigger rides coming up… Feb. 21st – Laveen County Challenge (62.5 miles), March 7 – Tour de Cure in Tucson (62.5 miles), finally at the end of march the MS150. I am also at a point where I need to start networking so I can get in on some team group rides.

Tri Cime di Lavaredo: 1974 Giro d’Italia

Seen on trackosaurus rex… I can olny hope that when I see the Big Bear Climb of the Tour of California that there is this much screaming and shouting! Take notice of the guy at the 6:28 mark elbowing people as he runs along side of the rider.

Rules of the Road, Brought To You By Rapha

I have seen this before, in bicycling magazine I believe, and find it very useful!

Enjoy: “Rules of the Road”

4. Keep it over your hat
The arms of your sunglasses should never be tucked underneath your Winter Hat. Nor should they sit under the straps of your helmet. Espressos cannot be consumed otherwise.

Last Ride as a 29 Year Old

I just finished my last ride of my 20’s. Now it time to stop playing around and take this to the next level… gulp. It was a good ride, and the reason I say that is because after 25 miles I felt like I could just keep going! What a great way to go into my 30’s. Now I need to start doing rides that 30+ miles routinely.

New Route to Work

I am having a hard time motivating my self to ride after work (not a fan of riding at night), so I am considering trying to put a few extra miles in, in the morning. So, today I tried a new route to work to extend my 5 mile ride to a 7 mile ride. I know it doesn’t seem like much but it was fun going a new way and dealing with new drivers.

This was a lame post, sorry.

Team Radio Shack, Training Camp

Thought this was kinda funny. The music made it work for me. Don’t judge!
